Our summer has officially come to an end already. And, it’s still not as warm as I expected it to be!
Isla started back to St. Leonard’s on Monday and is in the 4 year old early learning centre class. Monday morning may have been more exciting than Christmas morning. She was thrilled to return.
Yes, we are slightly breaking the rule with the pink flower on the shoes. We have one year until they are more strict with the uniform shoes! Which on a side note, I didn’t like the uniform idea when we started, but I do now… almost every school does it- public or private, and I see it’s benefits- like no fighting about clothes in the morning!
Greyson started to “school” too. He started at the Recreation Centre in our suburb. He’s going two mornings a week. He threw a bit of a tantrum when I left, but didn’t even care when I returned. We’ll see how Friday’s drop off goes.
The activities started back too. Greyson is doing a little sports program for 2.5-3 year olds. He seemed to enjoyed it for the most part, except when he came stomping over to tell me that “someone took my spot” as he was supposed to be sitting along the wall. Isla is starting French lessons at Alliance Francais. She’s going for just two hours a week. We are hoping to keep her skills up if we decide to return to the French school.
I got a bit side tracked with finishing up summer vacation and getting ready for school. I’m going to get back to posting the vacation pictures from the North Island soon…
