We got back last week, and it’s been a busy week of recovering from jet lag, performing operation “paci” withdrawal and attending activities related to Isla’s last week of school (more on that to come).
We had a really nice trip back home, though much of it was a whirlwind. We were able to tie up some loose ends with the house, complete with a quick Christmas celebration. We also got to see some friends and have lots of time with family. Isla and Greyson has so much fun seeing their cousins and grandparents!
{Yep, Greyson refuses to wear pants most of the time, and that is a small Cabbage Patch doll serving as the tree topper. I have creative parents.}
With being so busy, I hardly took any pictures. However, after several days with her older cousins, Isla can take an amazing selfie and strike a pose for pictures like no other… I rest my case.
I think Greyson’s favorite activity was carrying around the cat. I’m not sure the cat felt the same way…
Once back, we had to hit the ground running. Isla only had one week of school remaining before summer break. (She returns to school on January 30th). I didn’t want her to miss too much more school this term, and Isla begged to go back to school, so I let her. It helped her manage her jet lag and get back on track.
As for Greyson, the week was a bit tougher because I decided that while we were cranky, we might as well get rid of the pacifier too. It was overdue anyhow, and before our next trip, I wanted to be done with it. So….. we wrapped it up and left it for Santa. Here we are with the last use…
We called Santa to come early to get it and take it to other little babies who needed it for Christmas. In return, he got a talking Spiderman. The concept sounded good; the execution has been a bit painful. He’s a bit hoarse from screaming and not wanting to sleep, but slowly it’s getting better. You wouldn’t know that we had just spent an hour screaming about sleeping before this….
