Brent and his team at Bristol-Myers Squibb Australia made national headlines this week with their important work. After months, if not years of work, BMS Australia has had their immunotherapy agent listed on the nation’s Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme for the treatment of advanced lung and renal cancers. It was described as the “Gift of Life” by all the new agencies. Here is a link to one of the articles:

Brent flew to Sydney on Sunday for the press conference. The press conference was intended to be with the country’s Prime Minister, but due to the foiled terror plot, he was unable to attend. The Minister for Health made the announcement instead. All of the major news stations covered the story and aired it on the Sunday evening news. Channel 7 News reported the story in this video. And if you want to see a little more of Brent’s TV debut, you can watch it in this video!
Congratulations to Brent and his team for their incredible hard work in making this treatment available to these cancer patients. Well done! We are very proud!
